Tuscany Home Furnishings offers Old World-style wood furniture, custom upholstered pieces, accents and art. Setting the right mood, the store has an old-World feel with terracotta-stained concrete floors and a textured colors wash on the walls.
Owner Peter Carbajal, who also owns Paso Home Furnishings and Home Elegance Fine Furnishings, has 20 years experience in the furniture business. Carbajal spent two years finding the right manufacturers before opening Tuscany Home Furnishings store.
With more than 2,000 square feet of floor space, Carbajal expects that most customers will place special catalogue orders. He has managed to find furniture makers who can deliver unique pieces in about half the usual time—four to six weeks instead of the average 10 to 12 weeks.
Carbajal plans to add more wine country-inspired pieces, including landscape paintings by local artists.
